Thomas E. Manbeck was saved at age 20 while attending Penn State University in Altoona, Pennsylvania. In May of 1990 at age 25 he was called to preach during a deacon ordination service in North Carolina at Roanoke Island Baptist Church.

He graduated from Bethany Bible College in Dothan Alabama in 1992 with a Master’s Degree in Ministry and from Hyles Anderson College in 1997 with a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Theology.

In October of 1997 the Good Shepherd Baptist Church of Terre Haute voted unanimously 13 – 0 to elect Brother Manbeck as its Pastor.  The church has experienced remarkable growth with a high attendance of 3,909 in October of 2005 with 788 in-church salvation decisions.  After 4 yrs Pastor Manbeck led the church to purchase new land and construct a new 13,000 sq ft. church facility which was completed in September of 2002.  The church now owns 18 acres of prime property and the church facility is valued at approximately 1.4 million dollars.  The church averages around 660 – 720 in attendance per Sunday and has baptized over 2,800 people since Brother Manbeck’s assuming the Pastorate.  Plans for a new 20.000 sq ft. Educational Facility has been approved by the church and construction should begin Lord-willing in March of 2007.  Brother Manbeck is married to Tonya his lovely wife, and has 2 beautiful daughters Tarrah & Tiffanie.
